Successful investment experience

Bought and sold my condo in downtown Chicago near Michigan Ave and Lake Michigan. Learned that if I sold it and lived in it 2 of the last 5 years, I didn't have to pay capital gains on the first $250k. Did it again when we sold our house in LA and wont have to pay taxes on the first $500k profit.

Failed investment experience

Thankfully hasnt really happened so far, I make pretty low risk investments. My financial advisor sold my Tesla stock before it went nuts but he made up for it by growing my portfolio over 300% I think
