Investment Experience
Successful investment experience
I bought my first house in 1997 and learned nearly everything I know about adulthood from it - including topics such as hiring the right persons, growing into self-sufficiency, budgeting, insurance, liability management, rental property laws, taxes, design, ROI, personal values, and more. I eventually did a cashout refi, and bought another house, and then more. My investment in my first home taught me that stability comes at a price, but has great rewards, too!
Failed investment experience
I listened to the men in my family about selling stock - Amazon, for one, and API for another instance - and learned that I should never listen to anyone else, no matter how successful and influential they were - when I already have my own strategy. I had to learn to trust that my strategy was right for me!
Other things about myself
I’m Marlene’s friends’ cousin :) and I founded a 501(c)3 in 1995 that helped provide new undergarments to homeless shelters. Currently, I have a business called Enrich Fiscal Fitness where I teach and coach women in workshops on personal finance!
