Investment Experience

Successful investment experience

One successful investment I've made was finding the courage to buy real estate when the market crashed back in 2009. I decided to ignore the naysayers when the numbers penciled out. Best decision I've ever made!!

Failed investment experience

My worst investment was buying a SFR (single family residence) in 2005. Thankfully, it worked out fine during the RE market crash due to the structure of the loan. However as soon as the RE market recovered, I sold it and did my first 1031 exchange into larger units in Kansas. I learned I was not a fan of SFRs for cash flow.
