Why I joined WIC

I've been joining a lot of communities and reading books focused on personal finance but I have the basics taken care of (emergency fund, sinking funds, maxing out 401k etc.) and I have been lucky enough to have some extra funds that I am able to invest. However, finding books or communities focused solely on that has been difficult and not many of my friends invest so I'm looking for what would help me to do that.

Successful investment experience

I started investing in index funds and regularly topping them up. I've been holding onto them and they've been growing steadily. I don't pull out when they go down.

Failed investment experience

I invested in Zoom early on and pulled out my money last year when I decided I didn't want to invest in individual stocks. I could have grown my money significantly if I held onto it.
