Investment Experience

Successful investment experience

My most successful investment thus far was to invest my time in selling SaaS to small businesses to pay for the $90,000 in student loans that I had naively taken out in college. The investment paid the debt in 3 years, and has allowed me to build a lump sum of cash to continue investing into other areas. The biggest thing I learned from it is that my favorite investments are those that provide utility.

Failed investment experience

A failed investment I made was purchasing TSLA at $383 while now TSLA is $181. I did not pull out of TSLA, so it can always go above $383 making it a fine investment, but I consider this failed because I invested based on an afternoon chat with a date instead of based on my own diligent research and facts.
